History of the Wilhite Condo Located in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Wilhite Condo was built in 1923, as apartments for downtown commuters. The building has been owned by its residents since 1948, when it was purchased as a Co-op. In 1968, the residents reorganized, creating the first condominium in the region: #0001. Since being purchased by residents, the building has been self-governed. In the last year, the owners voted-in new governing documents, bringing them up to date and insuring compliance with current condominium laws.
